Historic Bison Skull Cap

Description

Historic Bison Skull Cap measure 22.5 inches from horn core tip to horn core tip. This skull has a neat and natural matte black patina. This bison, while living,  would have been part of the great herds which numbered in the tens of millions  that dominated the plains of north america  for millennia prior to 1850.
This bison has what could be a jousting injury on one of it’s horn cores.
They are not making more of these historic bison skulls. This is NOT a dime a dozen  ranch bison skull this is a piece of natural history.
Found in an upper midwest waterway in December of 2020.
This skull has been preserved using a 50/50 mixture of water and glue.
